2019 Summer Camps
Guy Harvey / FWC Fishing Camp
2 sessions – 2 age groups
When: June 3-7 (ages 9-11) and June 17-21 (ages 12-14)
Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Daily
Cost: $375 (Includes a t-shirt, fishing pole, and tackle box, deep sea fishing trip, SUP session, and fish fry)
Description: Get reeled into fishing with a five day fishing camp!
The Navarre Beach Marine Science Station is the only facility in Northwest Florida selected to partner with the Guy Harvey Foundation and Florida Fish and Wildlife to offer this exciting opportunity. Learn about fish biology and conservation as well as fishing tackle, methods, and techniques. Campers will receive a custom designed Guy Harvey shirt made just for our camp, Guy Harvey accessories, small tackle box, and a fishing pole.
Additional Info: Your child will need to bring sun block, a lunch (no peanut products please), drink and water bottle, water shoes (or old tennis shoes-something that can be worn in the water), beach towel and a change of clothes.
Arts and the Sea
When: June 10-14
Time: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM Daily
Grades: (students entering) grade 1 – 3rd grade (2 sections)
Cost: $175 (Includes t-shirt and bag)
Description: Learn, make, and play as we dive into the life and beauty of the ocean world. Using a variety of materials and techniques, this camp is dedicated to creating art inspired by the creature, habitats, and mysteries of the big blue.
Important Info: Your child will need to bring sun block, a snack (no peanut products please), drink and water bottle, water shoes (or old tennis shoes-something that can be worn in the water),beach towel and a change of clothes.
Mommy (or Daddy) and Me by the Sea – Sea Turtles
When: Saturday, June 15
Time: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM Daily
Ages: 4 & 5 year olds and one parent (additional fee for second adult)
Cost: $75 includes matching t-shirts
Description: Strap on your flippers and get ready to discover life as a sea turtle during our half-day camp. Learn how lighting, marine debris, and beach furniture effect sea turtle nesting habits. Participate in sea turtle rescue relays and try out kayaking. Discover what a sea turtles favorite food is, and become a turtle vet to solve the mystery of an injured turtle.

Fins and Flippers
When: June 24-28
Grades: (Students entering) grades 3rd-5th (2 sections)
Time: Daily 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Cost: $275 includes a t-shirt and private dolphin cruise and an animal encounter at the Gulfarium.
Description: During this week of summer camp, we study marine mammals, sea turtles and SHARKS! Students will about animal anatomy and adaptations by participating in hands-on activities. Join us as we look for sea turtles and dolphins on a private dolphin cruise on Pensacola Bay and an animal encounter. Participants will also dissect a shark.

Reefs & Robotics (Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicles)
New this year: AUVs (Autonomous Underwater Vehicles)
When: July 8-12
Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM daily
Grades: (students entering) grades 6th-8th
Cost: $300 (Includes a t-shirt, ROV supplies, kayaking, snorkeling equipment and instruction)
Description: The camp will introduce students to mechanical design, construction, and problem solving and teamwork skills to build an ROV and AUV to explore the underwater world. This camp is excellent for students who enjoy robotics.
