New! MARINE CONSERVATION CAMP

When: June 1 - June 3
Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM daily
Grades: (students entering) grades 3 - 5
Cost: $200 (Includes a t-shirt)
Description: In this unique camp, you will get to work alongside experienced mentors on exciting and relevant conservation topics such as beach restoration, invasive species, and plastic pollution. Campers will learn about the conservation issues facing our ocean today, while also developing their own solutions to local conservation issues! Students can discover how they can #bethesealution and be a part of a growing movement of young marine conservationists!
Important Info: Your child will need to bring sun block, a snack (no peanut products, please), drink and water bottle, water shoes (or old tennis shoes - something that can be worn in the water), beach towel, and a change of clothes. Swimming skills required.

Paddlepalooza

Back by popular demand!
When: June 8 - June 10
Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM daily
Grades: (students entering) grades 5 - 8
Cost: $200 (Includes a t-shirt, surf & SUP lesson)
Description: Campers will make a splash while learning to surf! Join us for three days of paddling fun. Campers will enjoy an adventurous week exploring local waters as they surf their way into the Gulf of Mexico and kayak their way through Santa Rosa Sound. The camp includes surfing and stand up paddle board lessons.
Important Info: Your child will need to bring sun block, a snack (no peanut products, please), drink and water bottle, water shoes (or old tennis shoes - something that can be worn in the water), beach towel, and a change of clothes. Swimming skills required.

Arts and the Sea: Reduce, Recycle, and Repurpose!

When: June 15 - 19
Time: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM Daily
Grades: (students entering) grades 1–3 (2 sections)
Cost: $175 (Includes t-shirt)
Description: Learn, make, and play as we dive into the life and beauty of the ocean world. Using a variety of materials and techniques, this camp is dedcated to creating art inspired by marine debris, animals, habitats, and mysteries of the big blue.
Important Info: Your child will need to bring sun block, a snack (no peanut products please), drink and water bottle, water shoes (or old tennis shoes - something that can be worn in the water), beach towel, and a change of clothes. 

Guy Harvey / FYCC Fishing Camp

When: June 22 - 26 
Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Daily
Grades: (students entering) grades 5-8
Cost: $375 (Includes a t-shirt, fishing pole, and tackle box, deep sea fishing trip, SUP session, and fish fry)
Description: Get reeled into fishing with a five-day fishing camp!

The Navarre Beach Marine Science Station is the only facility in Northwest Florida selected to partner with the Guy Harvey Foundation and Florida Youth Conservation Commission to offer this exciting opportunity. Learn about fish biology and conservation as well as fishing tackle, methods, and techniques. Campers will receive a custom designed Guy Harvey shirt made just for our camp, Guy Harvey accessories, small tackle box, and a fishing pole.
Additional Info: Your child will need to bring sun block, a lunch (no peanut products please), drink and water bottle, water shoes (or old tennis shoes - something that can be worn in the water), beach towel, and a change of clothes.

Drones & ROVs: Technology and the Sea

Back by popular demand! ROVs (Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicles); New this year: AUVs (Autonomous Underwater Vehicles) & Drones
When: June 29 - July 3
Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM daily
Grades: (students entering) grades 6-8
Cost: $300 (Includes a t-shirt, ROV supplies, kayaking, snorkeling equipment and instruction)
Description: The camp will introduce students to mechanical design, construction, and problem solving and teamwork skills to build an ROV and explore AUVs and drones to explore above and below the sea. This camp is excellent for students who enjoy robotics.
